MEEZA announces two new data centres
New Tier 3 data centres to boost business continuity and managed service capabilities
Managed IT services provider MEEZA has announced that it will open two new data centres this year.
The new facilities, M-Vault 2 and M-Vault-3, will add to the Qatar-based company's capabilities in business continuity and managed services.
The M-Vault 2 facility will be located on MEEZA's own campus, and is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of this year. The data centre has been designed to Uptime Institute Tier III standards, for 99.98% availability.
The data centre also meets the LEED platinum certification requirements for energy efficiency. The facility will focus on business continuity and disaster recovery.
M-Vault 3 is located close to MEEZA's original data centre at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), and is due to begin operations on 15th April.
The centre is tailored towards high density computing in particular for the purposes of servicing research, engineering, health, banking, pharmaceutical and technology sectors. It is LEED Gold certified.
‘Today marks a new milestone for MEEZA, as we deliver two additional Tier III data centres," said Ghada P El-Rassi, deputy CEO of MEEZA.
"Our new interconnected, highly secured facilities focus on back-up sites, disaster recovery solutions and business continuity solutions while offering managed services to our clients at the same time." El-Rassi said.
"As an end-to-end services provider, we are committed to promoting IT innovation and bringing the most advanced solutions to our customers. Our new service offerings reflect this commitment as we provide to industries at all levels, so our clients can focus on their core business," she added.
