ZeroWire Labs debuts BlackBerry sports app
App is designed to update users’ home screens with information about favourite teams
Dubai and Canada-based software developer, ZeroWire Labs, has launched Sports Vibe, a sports application for BlackBerry smartphones, designed to update users' home screens with information about their favourite sports teams.
The app also allows fans to interact through in-app chats and polls, tracks football, basketball, hockey and other sports teams located in the Middle East and North Africa, and automatically pushes the latest news directly onto the user's Home screen.
Users can also receive updates such as match timings, scores, up-to-the-minute updates for goals and standout action, as well as images, video replays and game highlights.
Sports Vibe is now available as a free download on BlackBerry App World.
"We were inspired by consumer insights and their habits of sharing and debating sports-related news. BlackBerry was the platform of choice, enabling us to leverage the power of the BlackBerry Messenger [BBM] social platform, with its viral communication capabilities that have proven to increase app download rates and allows for chatting and sharing info from within the app," said Mahmoud Hashem, co-CEO of ZeroWire Labs.
Sports Vibe features BBM integration, designed to allow users to connect to friends and fans around the world and interact directly from within Sports Vibe.
