Comguard, GFI provide training to partners
The two companies jointly host special training workshops for UAE and Oman partners
Comguard, a Dubai-based value-added distributor of IT security products, recently held special training sessions for its channel partners on GFI Software solutions in the UAE and Oman.
The training, which is part of Comguard's broader initiative to empower channel partners through skills enhancement programmes, was conducted jointly with GFI Software to help partners capitalise on the fast-growing email archiving and web monitor market in the region.
Brian Azzopardi, product manager, GFI Software, said the training provides in-depth knowledge on GFI's WebMonitor and MailArchiver solutions. He said the new features of MailArchiver include 'MailInsights', a business intelligence functionality embedded in the product that helps extract intelligent information from emails to enhance productivity.
Mohammad Mobasseri, senior vice president, Comguard, said: "We believe information is key to success, hence we decided to roll out such a unique programme to train and educate our partners on GFI's WebMonitor and MailArchiver. This will enable them to win more customers, as well as deploy and configure GFI solutions on their own in their respective countries."
John Spoor, channel manager for the Middle East and Africa region at GFI Software, added that: "The purpose of such training workshops is to update the skills sets of channel partners and provide them with necessary knowledge that equips them to maximise the potential of GFI software solutions in the growing marketplace."
Following the overwhelming response received from its channel partners, Comguard says it plans to conduct similar training for its channel partners in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon.
