Oracle has acquired cloud-based customer service company Right-Now, to help further develop its public cloud offering.

RightNow's cloud solutions are designed to help organisations deliver exceptional customer experiences across the web, social networks and contact centres, and will be a key component of the Oracle Public Cloud. 

According to Oracle, the combination of Oracle's marketing, sales, ecommerce, search and business intelligence software with RightNow's leading service capabilities, will help companies power great customer experiences in a seamless, personalised way across all channels and customer touchpoints: including on the web, in a store, over the phone or via mobile devices.
