Informatica Qatar (iQ), an IT consulting and technology solutions firm, has continued to expand its channel partner base after it signed deals with two new partners to resell Huawei's range of mobile devices.

The alliance with Qatar-based Saudia Hyper and Al Anees Group is the latest in Huawei-related channel partnerships entered into by iQ. The Qatar-based distributor recently signed up Safari Group, Sky Net Group, MicroWorld and Dubai Technology as its reseller partners for Huawei's products in the Middle East.

Huawei has exclusively selected iQ to distribute and provide after-sales service for the IDEOS and IDEOS X5 range of products in Qatar. IDEOS is a mid-priced multimedia and social networking focused phone, while the IDEOS X5 is a higher-end unit with a 3D user interface aimed at tech enthusiasts and professionals. Both units are powered by the Android operating system.

"As a partner of Huawei, we want to deliver a broad consumer audience for its high-quality yet reasonably-priced products. Our agreement with Saudia Hyper and Al Anees will enable us to reach more key areas in the vicinity of Doha while associating our offerings with some of Qatar's respected names in the wholesale and retail sector," said Ramy Numair, commercial director at iQ.

Saudia Hyper is a hypermarket subsidiary of NKM Group, the operator of Qatar's trusted chain of hypermarkets, while Al Anees is a wholesaler and retailer of mobile phones and accessories in Qatar.
