Canon Emirates appoints new general manager
Shadi Bakhour will drive Canon’s growth plans for 2012 and beyond
Canon Middle East (CME), a provider of imaging solutions, recently appointed Shadi Bakhour as the new general manager of Canon Emirates (CE).
In his new role, Bakhour is expected to provide leadership, business stability and bring fresh business insights that will drive Canon Emirates' growth plans for 2012 and beyond. In addition, Bakhour is also expected to give direction and support the company's future business direction as it moves towards becoming a solutions and services-oriented organisation.
"The appointment of Shadi coincides with the announcement of Canon's plans to accelerate business growth in the UAE and across the region. Shadi's management skills and extensive industry know-how will surely be crucial as he takes up the challenge of leading Canon Emirates to achieve long-term business growth," said Anurag Agrawal, managing director, Canon Middle East.
Agrawal added that Canon Emirates represents Canon's direct operations in the business imaging solutions industry, and in line with the closer to customers strategy, Bakhour will be leading the company to forge closer ties with the UAE's business market and drive future plans of providing customers value-added solutions and services.
Bakhour said: "Canon is one of the most well respected and renowned brands in the world, so it is definitely an honour to be part of this great organisation. I look forward to the challenge of continuing Canon Emirates' strategy, guiding the company towards the next phase of its growth plans and further strengthening its position as one of the global leaders in imaging solutions. It is a huge responsibility to build up on what Canon has achieved so far in the UAE market, but I am confident that Canon Emirates has invested in all the right people and resources to realise its growth plans."
Bakhour previously served as director of Sales and Marketing Operations at Xerox Saudi Arabia.
