33% of UAE mobile users use Apple
Effective Measure study reveals 55.8% of e-mobile users in MENA use Apple products
Thirty-three percent of mobile users in the UAE use Apple products, according to a recent study by digital media planning solutions company Effective Measure, the most used Apple device in the country is the iPad, with 18.8% of UAE Apple users favouring the tablet device.
According to the study, 55.8% of the mobile internet users in the Middle East and North Africa region in October used Apple devices, including the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
Apple also has the largest market share in Saudi Arabia, used by 64.5% of the local e-mobile population, with the iPhone proving to be the most popular device, 34.3% of Apple users in Saudi use the iPhone.
In Egypt, the iPad scored the highest share, with 28.7% of the local e-mobile population using the device.
In Lebanon, 61.1% of e-mobile users use Apple devices, with the iPhone as the most popular Apple device at 29.9%.
According to the study, which was conducted in October, 9.1m e-mobile users, accounting for 69% of the MENA e-mobile population, used mobile devices manufactured by Apple, RIM and Nokia.
Blackberry ranked third with a 7.6% share while Nokia rounded off the list with a 5.3% share.
The study looked at mobile data of the MENA region's online population from 2nd to 11th October.
