Emitac Enterprise Solutions helps GPSSA automate its Document and Image Management Systems
General Pension and Social Security Authority to turn 110,000 paper documents into electronic records
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) wanted to reduce the cost of handling 110,000 documents while improving retrieval and processing times. This would require an automated system that would allow them to capture, scan, index, store, and deliver documents and images to customers, employees and agencies quickly and cost effectively while protecting information and conforming to the highest IT auditing standards.
After reviewing GPSSA's needs and requirements, Emitac Enterprise Solutions proposed a solution that not only comprises data capturing but also includes backlog and conversion processes including scanning and indexing, data manipulation, image enhancements and quality assurance.
Under the scope, EES is carrying out the data capture to extract the essential data from the paper files and record it electronically to be used in GPSSA's core business applications. Then all these files will be thoroughly checked for missing information or documents. The files thus checked will be scanned and the metadata will be indexed for each file according to data types predefined by GPSSA. While Capture LV from Asset is being used for the backlog conversion process, EES is using BancTec technology for scanning and indexing. Additionally, EES would also handle all tasks of data manipulation, image enhancements and quality assurance and release the ready files in electronic format to GPSSA thus helping the customer realize its goal.
To achieve the above scope, EES is supporting GPSSA with resources including human resources, software, hardware, implementation and support.
