Xerox debuts new Phaser 7800
Xerox has launched its new professional colour printer, the Phaser 7800.

Xerox has launched its Phaser 7800 colour laser printer, with advanced media handling capabilities and professional finishing options.

The Phaser 7800 is designed to produce jobs quickly and offer precise control over colour matching.

The printer prints at 1200 x 2400 dpi, and is designed to be able to bring out fine details in images, photos and graphics.

The device is equipped with the PhaserMeter Colour Measurement Device powered by X-Rite and Adobe PostScript 3. The Phaser 7800 has also been licensed by Pantone for optimal colour reproduction of industry standard Pantone Matching System.

The printer is designed to produce up to 45 pages-per-minute in a wide range of media weights and sizes.  The Phaser 7800 also features automatic two-sided printing.

The Phaser 7800 finishing options can be customised to meet specific workload and application needs, such as professional booklet making, creasing and hole-punching.

The printer features a colour touch screen designed to allow users to view toner levels and print jobs in the queue.

Green benefits include low-melt EA Toner and Hi-Q LED print engine technologies to reduce energy consumption. The heat-efficient fuser is also designed to allow for start-up time of less than 15 seconds and uses less power in standby mode than conventional fusers.

The Phaser 7800 is priced starting at $3899.
