SIT prepares for growth with Al Quoz move
The move is an important step in the company's expansion strategy, says Al-Alem.

SIT Distribution (SITD), a regional distributor of mobility solutions in the Middle East, has moved its logistics, operations and service centre to a bigger and technically advanced facilty in Dubai's Al Quoz industrial district.

The company says the increased space will be utilised to further upgrade its existing IT and automation to address the growth in both customer breadth and overall business in the UAE.

Nashwan Al-Alem, operations manager, SIT Distribution said: "This move is an important step in the company's overall growth strategy. The much needed office floor space will be utilised to expand logistical operations and spruce up the service facility. This will ensure improved turnaround time and reduced waiting lines for customers."

"Being an ISO 9001:2008 certified company means SIT operates in a framework where processes are clearly defined and conformance is tightly measured. This demands not only a high level of operational effectiveness, but also demonstrable efficiency improvements every year." Al-Alem added.

The distributor says the new facility is centrally located and easily accessible to customers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The increase in IT and automation processes ensure a better customer service experience, effective same day order deliverables, increased productivity, faster access to information and historical data. Furthermore, correct product shipments, accurate forecasting and the elimination of human error are added elements which provide cutting edge competitiveness.

The company states that the  2.5 service level capability ensures immediate after-sales service and new product training to corporates, retailers and end-users. According to SIT, these services include in and out of warranty repairs, screen/keyboard issues, physical damage, connectivity and keypad problems, charging and power issues, sound issues, software upgrade, data transfer and recovery.
