Licence and services revenue growth drive third quarter results

Citrix sees Q3 financial growth
Citrix is strongly positioned for growth, says Templeton.

Citrix has posted improved results for the third quarter of 2011.

Revenue was up 20%, from $472m in Q3 2010 to $565m Q3 2011, while net income was $92m, up 4.5% from the same quarter last year.

The company reported increased revenue from a number of sources, including product licence revenue up 28%, licence update revenue up 7%, online services revenue up 20% and technical services revenue up 37%.

"This was a great quarter for Citrix," said Mark Templeton, president and chief executive officer, Citrix. "I couldn't be more delighted or proud of our Q3 performance across geographies, business lines and financially. We have strong positions across SaaS and collaboration, virtualization and desktop, networking and cloud platform markets... and the investments we've made over the past year in people, infrastructure, innovation and go-to-market is powering growth through geographical reach and business model diversity."
