Proud winners at the CommsMEA Awards in 2010.

With less than two months to go until this year's CommsMEA Awards, companies from across the region's telecoms ecosystem have been busy submitting nominations in the hope of winning at the region's leading telecoms awards event.

This year there are 15 categories of award, giving all types of organisation, from operators, vendors and regulators, to content and application providers, a chance to impress the judges.

This year we have also added a new category to recognise the Best Business Service launched by an operator or vendor.

The winners will gain recognition for excellence in front of a 250-strong gathering at the Awards gala dinner, which is being held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers on November 29.

To submit a nomination for the awards, simply visit our dedicated website, click on "nominations" at the top of the screen, and follow the online instructions.

It is important to note that smaller operators and solutions providers also have the potential to win at the awards. The reason is simple: Each nomination is judged on merit, and smaller operators and start-ups are just as likely to have demonstrated excellence in their field as the region's heavyweights.

Once we have collated all of the entries, each application will be assessed and judged by a panel of international industry experts. A shortlist of nominations will be selected and award winners will be announced and presented at the ceremony on November 29.
