OEM/ODM opportunities and Africa-based distys are of interest to Axle.

Axle is focussing on tracking down distributors in Africa and in other emerging markets at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK. The company is also keen on establishing partnerships with OEM and ODM customers.

The company was originally formed in 1988 with its headquarters in Hong Kong and a factory in China. The firm originally began manufacturing entry-level graphics card solutions but has since expanded its business and now delivers high-end GPUs that target gamers and enthusiasts.

Its offerings include graphics cards powered by GPUs from both AMD as well as Nvidia. The component manufacturer further diversified its business last year and now produces computer power supplies (PSUs) as well. The company says that GPUs are still its primary focus however.

Speaking about the Middle East technology fair Simon Mak, Senior Sales Manager at Axle says, “We are visiting for the eighth time as we believe it is one of the major computer and IT technology related exhibitions in the Middle East. We also want to find new distribution partners and companies that we can create OEM and ODM products for.”

When quizzed about what makes his company different from his competitors Mak quips, “We are manufacturers but unlike most other competitors we don’t have a minimum order quantity (MOQ). We believe that every customer is different and every customer has its own needs, hence we can tailor make orders based on the customer’s requirements and accommodate different requests.”
