Taiwanese PC maker MSI has introduced the GT780 gaming laptop in the Middle East region, a move the vendor says will help it to tap into the mobile gaming market. The vendor’s solutions have been gaining wide acceptance in the Middle East, after it established its presence in the UAE last year.
Green Lin, Notebook Channel Marketing Manager, MSI MEA, says the company has decided to focus on gaming this year as it’s in line with its GITEX Technology Week 2011 theme. “We have products designed for gamers and by gamers. We are also showcasing our all-in-one (AIO) PC with LED backlight technology.”
Lin said MSI is looking at expanding its business opportunities in the Middle East region, as well as increasing its brand awareness amongst channel partners and end users.
“Our notebook range caters to all markets from high powered gaming laptops to lifestyle focused notebooks. We also offer the channel our professional series notebooks,” he says.
Lin adds that as GITEX Technology Week is the largest ICT event in the region, it enables MSI to open new doors with key industry players representing key markets across the MEA region.
“GITEX gives us the best opportunity in the region to reach out to our channel partners and to increase our customer base,” he says.
MSI’s product portfolio includes mainboards, graphics cards, notebooks, all-in-one PCs, tablets, gaming laptops, server/workstations, industrial computing, barebone systems, communication devices, consumer electronics and car infotainment products.
