NEC in quest to sign Middle East channel partners
Move part of wider plan to broaden Middle East channel base
NEC IT Platform Solutions (ITPS), a division of NEC Corporation, has revealed that it's looking to expand its channel network in the Middle East region by signing new reseller partners.
The move to expand its channel base in the region comes as NEC has indicated that it will be paying special focus to Qatar, Oman and Jordan. The vendor says that it is seeking to recruit channel partners that focus on selling solutions, with a base in B2B sales and expertise in virtual and cloud environments, data centres, blade and SAN infrastructure, disaster recovery and high availability projects.
The Japanese headquartered vendor is using GITEX to meet with potential partners, as well as showcase its B2B solutions offering to the Middle East channel marketplace.
Lenia Lacovides, managing director for interFRONTIERS, NEC ITPS' channel development partner in the Middle East region, said NEC ITPS wants to expand in the Middle East by tying up with local channel partners in the region. Lacovides said although this market is still young, it is one of the fastest growing markets.
"We are looking forward to meeting potential partners throughout the week long technology exhibition. GITEX is the biggest IT fair in the Middle-East region and as such, offers a formidable range of opportunities for IT companies to engage and interact with Global IT leaders and NEC couldn't find a better platform to find channel partners than this one," he said.
NEC ITPS offers a full range of servers, storage and VDI complemented by a unique collection of enterprise IT solutions such as platform-independent data centre management tools, disaster recovery and high availability solutions that include NEC Fault Tolerant Servers and NEC ExpressCluster.
