Battlefield 3 may yet come to Steam
Rumours from the grapevine suggest Battlefield 3 might be available on Steam by launch date

According to an anonymous report on the BF3 blog, Battlefield 3 may yet be released via digital content distribution service, Steam.

The report says that EA and Valve are in talks and if all goes well, Battlefield 3 could become available on Steam in time for the October 25 release of the game.

The blog post says that the two companies are very close to reaching a conclusion regarding sales of DLC content. Valve previously wanted EA to sell all of its DLC content through Steam, while EA wanted to sell content via its own channels as well. This was the cause of another EA title, Crysis 2, being pulled from Steam earlier this year.

ITP.net previously reported that Battlefield 3 will not be sold via Steam. To read the full story, please click here.
