Distributor certified as VMware Authorized Training Centre

Aptec gets VATC status
Aptec intends to expand its VMware training offerings, says Veljovic.

Aptec has been certified as a VMware Authorized Training Centre (VATC) for the Middle East.

The distributor will look to deliver a range of VMware training courses. Initially Aptec will open a training centre in its Dubai offices, which is due to open by end of October. The company plans to open additional training centres in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Initially Aptec will look to deliver the vSphere: Install, Configure and Manage course, but will expand the courses on offer later on. The first lot of instructor-led classroom training is scheduled to begin in November, with course schedules available on the ATS website.

Mario Veljovic, general manager of Aptec's professional services subsidiary, Advanced Technology Services (ATS), said: "We already have a VMware Certified Instructor on board who will be conducting training for channel partners in the region. The company has also secured additional office space within our current premises that will host the training centre.

"We also intend to add virtualisation and technology labs to the training as the company already runs these programs through the Data Centre Partner Alliance Program which was unveiled earlier this year," he added.
