Next-generation Torch phone features BlackBerry 7 OS, improved performance
Research In Motion has launched the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone featuring the BlackBerry 7 operating system, in the UAE.
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is designed to be faster and more fluid than the 9800, with new, high performance hardware features and the BlackBerry 7 OS delivering an enhanced multimedia experience.
The phone features a 3.2-inch, high resolution touch display and a slide-out BlackBerry keyboard.
The BlackBerry 7 OS is designed to enhance the users' phone experience by integrating voice activated search, including the ability to manage personal and business content separately and provide more personal and productivity apps for the user.
The next generation BlackBerry Browser combines the improved performance of the advanced WebKit browser engine with hardware enhancements found in the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 to deliver browsing results that are up to 40% faster than BlackBerry 6 smartphones and up to twice as fast as models running BlackBerry 5, according to Research In Motion.
The new BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone also features Liquid Graphics technology, which combines a high-performance graphics processor with a fast CPU and high resolution.
