GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK will be taking on a truly international flavour this year, thanks to the presence of a number of country pavilions and national trade development agencies and authorities
GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK will be taking on a truly international flavour this year, thanks to the presence of a number of country pavilions and national trade development agencies and authorities.
The exhibition will feature dedicated country presences for many of the leading global technology hubs, as well as attendance from hundreds of international companies.
French companies will have an increased presence at the show, with 30 companies participating this year, up from 22 last year.
Under the auspices of the French Trade Commission, UBIFRANCE, the French presence will occupy two pavilions for the first time, with separate locations for hardware and software-focused companies. UBIFRANCE will also be organising several B2B meetings to showcase the strength of the French ICT industry.
Among the companies participating at the show with UBIFRANCE are Evolis, a leading supplier of solutions for plastic card personalization, which will be showing its new Zenius card printer; GENIGRAPH Group, which will show its e-Citiz software platform for designing and deploying remote procedures, teleservices and e-services; security software and SaaS provider Keynectis, and Mobibase, a mobile content and service provider focused on mobile TV and video services.
The Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX), the government agency in charge of foreign trade promotion and foreign investment attraction for Belgium’s Wallonia region will be hosting seven companies on its stand at GITEX.
The companies presenting alongside AWEX include voice solutions specialists Acapela; Brain Network, which will be showing its document technologies, including Arabic capabilities; and CE & T, which is focused on productivity tools, primarily software and some hardware tools.
The AWEX stand also includes Datanet International, who will be promoting the Peripheral Dynamics Inc. range of scanners, document handlers and other image hardware; document scanning and storage specialists IRIS Document Recognition (IDR); mobile intelligence solutions provider Market-IP and network and server room monitoring software provider Serverscheck.
The Think Up project, a joint initiative between the Torino Chamber of Commerce and Piemonte Agency for Investments, Export and Tourism will be participating at GITEX to promote its ICT members to the Middle East.
ThinkUp represents around 70 ICT companies from the north-western Torino-Piemonte region of Italy, with expertise in areas including entertainment, agritech, egovernment, ehealth, industrial automation, telecoms, security, transport and logistics.
Five member companies will be attending GITEX, including finance specialist ITtrading; voice technology developer Loquendo; web and communications service provide Mediaki.it; Proxima Service, which focuses on hotel management software, and learning lab developer Tecnilab.
Through GITEX, ThinkUP aims to connect its members with SMEs, enterprises, government partners and other organisations to develop business opportunities in the region.
The Hungarian Investment & Trade Agency will be building on the country’s growing reputation as a centre for ICT through the participation of a number of companies from Hungary at GITEX.
The exhibitors include Dension Broadband Systems (DBS), focused on advanced solutions in broadband internet access; Digit, a company selling and servicing large format peripherals and their consumables; DSS Consulting, which specialises in data warehouse and data mining development; P92 IT Solutions, a software developer with expertise in enterprise thin-client platforms and web application solution frameworks; document management specialist Trilobita Informatics, and Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI Hungary) a market leader in GIS technology.
The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) will be flying the flag for Jordan as a leading centre of the IT industry in the Middle East. JEDCO is supporting a number of Jordanian exhibitors, to promote the country’s growing expertise in ICT.
Among the exhibitors at GITEX will be software developer Eskadenia, which will be showing a range of solutions across areas such as telecoms, insurance, enterprise, education and web applications; IT solutions and services provider Fourth Dimension Systems; application development and services company Pravo; and Integrated Standard Solutions (ISS), which will be showing its latest management consulting services and HR management solutions.
The Jordanian presence also includes Matrix, which will be presenting its SAJAYA Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP); Microsoft Silver partner PC Stores, which focuses on SMB point-of-sale and HR solutions; insurance systems specialist TechnoSys Group, and Wizard Productions, a developer and publisher of browser-based games for the Middle East region.
