ITP Technology is set to unveil a number of mobile applications at this year’s GITEX. Although the details of each app are being kept under wraps until the show itself, early indications are that one will feature the publisher’s market leading magazines, which include ACN, NME, Channel Middle East, CommsMEA and Windows, and another will be built around its technology website, ITP.net.
The new apps will build on the firm’s existing digital prowess in the technology sector, which sees 100,000-plus visitors a month log onto ITP.net and 175,000-plus individuals read its variety of industry eNewsletters and eZines. “We’re very excited to be unveiling our latest applications at GITEX Technology Week,” says Walid Akawi, Chief Executive of ITP Publishing. “ITP has a long and illustrious relationship with the show itself and the wider Middle East IT market as a whole. We’ve been partners with both for the past 25 years and we always like to do something special to celebrate GITEX,” he adds.
The ITP Technology stand will also play host to the plethora of mobile applications for the iPhone and iPad currently on offer from its parent company, ITP Publishing.
Visitors to the stand will be able to get the lowdown on where to eat, drink and entertain in Dubai after GITEX via the Time Out Dubai app, which has been downloaded more than 62,000 times since its launch last year, or they can check out the latest business news through the ArabianBusiness.com newsreader application. They will also be able to interact with ITP Publishing’s wide portfolio of consumer and B2B web sites.
