HP injects flexibility into IT systems
Instant On Enterprise at centre of show for HP
IT giant Hewlett-Packard will use GITEX Technology Week's Cloud Confex to persuade local businesses of the benefits of being an Instant On Enterprise. The US vendor's latest product strategy incorporates a number of Cloud computing services, as well as highly virtualised servers, networking, storage and software offerings.
Its Instant On Enterprise range can help customers transform from inflexible IT environments to modern, secure and optimised infrastructures, the vendor claims. All of these solutions will be on show at October's GITEX event in Dubai. "GITEX provides one of the best opportunities for the region's IT community to congregate and share knowledge about the latest solutions and innovations in the industry," comments Eyad Shihabi, managing director, HP Middle East. "It is at events such as GITEX we can meet and discuss directly with a wide range of stakeholders in the business community, as well as our customers and partners."
HP says that it has a solid array of major enterprise customers in the region in industry verticals including oil and gas, healthcare, banking and education.
So far in 2011, it has opened new regional offices in Egypt and Oman, as well as increasing the number of staff it employs in the Middle East. The vendor says that this expansion will enable HP to be closer to customers and offer increased levels of support.
"We have had a very successful year so far in the region, especially by implementing some cutting edge solutions to companies across the Middle East," adds Shihabi. "We have worked especially closely with partners to deliver solutions to customers which meet their requirements, and have offered lasting support to fully integrate our solutions."
