Etisalat shows scale at GITEX
UAE telco to display range of services and international reach
Etisalat, the UAE's incumbent telecom operator, plans to demonstrate its size, scale and international reach at this year's GULFCOMMS.
Etisalat's stand will be segmented based on consumer and business solutions and subsidiaries. It will highlight Etisalat's international network, and its national and global partnerships, providing an "all encompassing view" of the corporation's businesses, according to a spokesman.
On the consumer front, Etisalat's focus will be on the fibre-optic based ‘eLife' proposition that provides an enhanced home entertainment experience to customers.
Etisalat has invested over AED 7 billion ($1.9 bn) in deploying fibre-optic in the UAE and has recently made Abu Dhabi the world's first capital city to be fully connected by fibre.
Highlights also include Etisalat's launch of the latest LTE (4G) mobile broadband technology, providing internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
The business solutions section will focus on business mobility, managed ICT, connectivity and e-business solutions that offer cost-savings and enhanced efficiency and productivity.
Etisalat will also focus on demonstrating services that provide customers with the best of values and a "unique experience" for the individual consumer, the spokesman adds.
