BlackBerry App World gets upgrade
Research In Motion has released BlackBerry App World 3.0 featuring improved design and easy app sharing.

BlackBerry App World 3.0 is available for BlackBerry smartphone users, the new version of App World 3.0 storefront is designed to make it easier to discover and download apps, games, and themes.

Improvements to BlackBerry App World include a sleek new design which incorporates rotating spotlight banners to highlight new apps.

Apps, games, and themes can now be found on their own channels, designed to allow users to find content quicker.

The introduction of My Account gives users direct access to all of their account information from the home screen and is designed to make managing BBID and payment options easier.

The new My World Features are designed to give users a streamlined view of their apps and status, and now in addition to seeing which apps are installed and uninstalled, users can manage subscription content and services. 

When new updates or subscription renewals are available for apps, users will be notified using push technology.

Users can now notify BlackBerry Messenger contacts if they find an app that they think is very interesting or important. The app can now be shared the app details screen through BBM, Facebook, Twitter, email and SMS

The new BlackBerry App World also now features an evolved app details screen, which gives users a summary of their apps, look at app reviews and check out star ratings.

The new App World now incorporates more search options and the search bar now shows on the home screen and search results are filtered across Channels as well as My World.  Search Bars are also within each Channel and users have the ability to filter by app name, price, rating, newest, best match, or popular

The upgrade is available for BlackBerry users running BlackBerry OS 5.0 or higher.
