Samsung to train teachers in Jeddah
Under partnership agreement, electronics giant will train teachers at Jeddah College of Telecoms and Electronics
Samsung has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Jeddah College of Telecoms and Electronics (CTE), to assist with the establishment of an integrated centre for maintenance training, which will be equipped with the latest technical equipment.
Samsung will provide support, sponsorship and training for the teachers at CTE and teachers will be accredited and trained in techniques and methods to maintain and use Samsung products and will be expected to train college students and members of charity organisations and foundations, both private and public.
"The agreement represents the desire of both sides to transfer their technical knowledge in the field of maintenance for the purpose of developing skills and the professional capacity of the CTE staff. The centre, which facilitates under the umbrella of the Social Responsibility and Continuous Training, will enable them to acquire the skills required in the labor market," said Bin Aboud Al Amoudi.
The agreement was signed by JaeChun Park, general manager of Samsung Electronics in Saudi Arabia, and Fahad Bin Aboud Al Amoudi, dean of the Jeddah College of Telecom and Electronics.
"The partnership was the result of both parties' desire to serve the Saudi community through the advanced and continuous training in Samsung's areas of specialization. Without a doubt, Samsung found the appropriate environment to establish its social responsibility program in the Jeddah College for Telecom and Electronics, and Samsung will not spare an effort to make this partnership and its goals as successful as they can possibly be," said Nael Hammad, head of Corporate Marketing for Samsung Electronics in Saudi Arabia.
