Clients will benefit from the significant add-on features that POSGold brings in the latest version, says Bhatia.

ShawMan Software, a software solutions developer for the hospitality, food service, retail and leisure market segments, has launched its tenth version of POSGold in the Middle East region.

The latest version of POSGold has been completely rewritten on latest Microsoft .Net and SQL stack platforms. The POS maker also used Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to ensure that the UI on the latest version remained crisp and reliable on system agility and stability.

Kamal Bhatia, managing director, Wide Computer Systems, a Dubai-based ShawMan systems integration partner, said: "ShawMan POS is currently used by over 600 restaurants and restaurant chain stores across the Middle East. Our clients will definitely benefit from the significant add-on features that POSGold brings with the latest version."

"ShawMan is a Microsoft Gold certified partner and licensed to bundle MS SQL under royalty to its own customers, thus making POSGold available at the lowest price and maintenance costs in the market place," said Jimmy Shaw, managing director, ShawMan Software.

Shaw said the company has also forged partnerships with IBM, Dell, Posiflex, NEC, Epson and Motorola to offer customers turnkey solutions for their growing business needs.

ShawMan recently got its POS PCI-DSS certified, which is now mandatory in almost all countries for all merchant outlets accepting credit cards.

The multilingual POSGold interfaces with ShawMan's WiFi based hand held ordering and billing solution ‘PortaPOS' as well as ‘SmartDebit' its cashless in-store plug-in for transactions.
