Vendor moves to cement its enterprise business in the Middle East

Huawei Enterprise eyes enterprise channel growth
Huawei has continued to forge strong partnerships with channel partners in the region, says Dr Qi.

Seven months after Huawei Enterprise Business launched its enterprise division in the Middle East, the vendor has unveiled plans that will see it develop the channel ecosystem to further support its long-term goals for the region.

The company says the move to focus on the Middle East enterprise channel, comes as feedback from partners has been exceptionally positive since it unveiled the enterprise business unit earlier this year. To this end, Huawei Enterprise will be rolling out partner certifications programmes as part of its wider Huawei Enterprise Partner Programme offerings.

Dr Liu Qi, president, Huawei Enterprise Business Middle East, said the company has continued to forge strong partnerships with channel partners in the region and to date has 11 local partners on board with INTC, the regional level master system integrator and ‘go-to-market' partner.

Dr Qi said the company through its Huawei Enterprise Partner Programme, has also started to provide comprehensive product training, workshops and certification to help partners fully understand the enterprise business portfolio. "We believe that it's all about creating a support system for our channel partners so that we can nurture a healthy sustainable alliance that grows our business," he said.

He said since the launch, Huawei Enterprise has been delivering pre-sales and post-sales training to reseller partners in three difference cities namely Dubai, Doha and Riyadh. "Every partner in each country is well briefed on the product portfolio, the installation and configuration as well as encouraged to focus on service delivery. Ultimately, our approach will create a win-win situation for partners and customers, creating more business opportunities for themselves," Dr Qi added.

Dr Qi pointed out that as part of the long-term channel developmental efforts, Huawei will be extending its channel training initiatives in the region to include: the Huawei Certified Data Communications Associate (HCDA), Huawei Certified Data Communications Professional (HCDP) and Huawei Certified Data Communications Expert (HCDE). "These programmes have been developed to ensure that our partners meet the industry standards required for them to fully engage with the products and solutions. The company looks forward to sharing its technical expertise and constantly introducing next generation products and solutions to its channel partners," he said.
