Iomega partners with Jumbo IT Distribution
Distributor to supply Iomega’s B2B product range in the United Arab Emirates
Iomega, an EMC subsidiary, has signed Jumbo IT Distribution, the distribution arm of Jumbo Electronics as its in-country B2B distributor for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Under the agreement, Jumbo IT Distribution will bring to market and ensure that Iomega's B2B products and solutions are readily available to system integrators, surveillance SMB market, SMB resellers and VARs in the UAE.
Iomega states that its latest channel move will ensure that its B2B products and solutions are available to the wider channel that primarily serves the SMB segment.
Cizar Abughazaleh, regional director, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Iomega, said the company is focusing on the SMB channel and this agreement comes as part of a wider plan along with Iomega investment in the Middle East region to support the SMB market. "With Jumbo on board, we are fulfilling another part of our B2B strategy in the region," he said.
He explained that Jumbo IT Distribution has been chosen because of its strength and reach to different segments in the reseller channel. "Jumbo will be an important addition to our existing distribution partners in UAE, Oman and Bahrain where there is room for all to grow," Abughazaleh explained.
Deepak Khetrapal, CEO, Jumbo Electronics (LLC), said Jumbo's initiatives towards being a strong broad based distributor and the company's drive to grow its value business in GCC markets has been instrumental in this distribution tie-up with Iomega. "We are confident that together with Iomega we will make this relationship fruitful for both companies," he said "This alliance will assist us in providing best-of-breed network storage products through our strong and loyal partner base across the region."
Arshad Chishty, business head, IT Distribution, Jumbo Electronics, added that: "our partnership with Iomega is another step that will fuel our strategic approach to offering ‘best-in-class' products to our growing partner community."
