The Darkness II delayed
The Darkness II takes place two years after the events of the original game and gamers will once again step into the shoes of protagonist Jackie Estacado
Publisher 2K Games has announced that The Darkness II has been delayed.
The game was originally scheduled for launch in October of this year but 2K Games has now revealed that it will launch the title on February 7 in North America. The international release meanwhile has been scheduled for February 10.
The Darkness II is the direct sequel to 2007's The Darkness, which was developed by Starbreeze Studios. The new game is being developed by Digital Extremes and takes place two years after the events of the first game.
The game will be a multi-platform release and will be playable on the PlayStation 3, Windows, Xbox 360 and Wii U gaming platforms. The Darkness and its forthcoming sequel are based on the supernatural horror comic book series created by Top Cow Productions.
2K Games also confirmed that The Darkness II will still be playable at Comic Con, which takes place between July 21 and July 24 in San Diego.
