GFI signs ComGuard for Middle East distribution
ComGuard will help develop new business opportunities for GFI, says Mobasseri.

Security software specialist GFI has signed ComGuard as a distributor for the Middle East.

The two will work together to develop the market for GFI’s range of solutions, which include vulnerability scanners, patch and log management and monitoring, endpoint security solutions and web and e-mail solutions such as virus and spam filters.

ComGuard will have distribution rights for UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco and Iran. The companies intend to collaborate on activities such as road shows and technical training, to promote GFI solutions and boost partner skills.

Mohammad Mobasseri, senior vice president, ComGuard, said: “ComGuard helps its vendor partners create new business opportunities by providing channel partner support across the region. By adding GFI products and solutions to our portfolio for the Middle East region, we will be in a position to help our channel partners take advantage of an untapped and growing market in the region.”
