VirtuPort announces MENA ISC 2011
Information Security Conference will be held in Jordan under the theme ‘Future of Cyber Security'
VirtuPort has announced the launch of the Middle East and North Africa Information Security Conference (MENA ISC 2011) under the theme ‘Future of Cyber Security'.
The event will be held at the Kempinski Hotel at the Dead Sea in Jordan from 18th to 19th September 2011.
The event will be held under the patronage of Atef Al Tal, Jordan's minister of Communications, Information and Technology.
"We are encouraged by the level of support we have received from vendors, delegates and government officials participating in this year's event," said Dr Mohammed Omar, CEO of VirtuPort, the organisers of MENA ISC 2011.
The conference will feature speakers from IDC, Forrester and leading industry security vendors and will also include a trade exhibition.
The conference is designed to provide a platform for regional IT and information security professionals to network with each other and will be attended by over a dozen leading information security and telecom exhibitors including Juniper, HP and Zain, along with over 300 senior industry buyers.
According to VirtuPort, spending on IT Security will continue to grow as institutions from all verticals including finance, healthcare and oil and gas look to improve information security awareness and readiness and comply with new regulations.
