Infor signs partnership deal with MIC

MIC and United Computer Company subsidiary signed as part of Infor's channel expansion

Infor signs partnership deal with MIC
Infor was impressed by the quality of MIC's expertise, says Hammond.

Infor has appointed Middle East Investment Company as a channel partner for the Middle East.

The agreement will give MIC access to Infor solutions including Infor ERP LN and Infor EAM enterprise asset management solutions.

MIC subsidiary United Computer Company (UCC) will become a strategic channel partner to help support Infor's growth in the region, and will provide regional presence through its subsidiaries in 13 countries that have around 500 customers in key verticals.

Infor said that it chose to partner with MIC due to the company's expertise in ERP, and ability to deliver value-added services, around Baan ERP solutions, acquired by Infor in 2006, and Infor's own solutions.

Paul Hammond, regional vice president and general manager, Middle East, Infor commented: "Our channel strategy is not about the quantity of partners. Instead we want to work with a smaller number of quality, growth-oriented partners who understand the value Infor solutions can bring to their client base. We invest considerable time and resources to work with them to help build a pipeline of business.

"We are very impressed with MIC's successes since it was established in 2005 and the 35+ years of industry experience they have amassed. Over these last six years MIC has put its knowledge and expertise to good use by building up an impressive regional presence with around 500 customers. We look forward to sharing in their success in the years to come to make MIC a real ‘powerhouse' in the region," he added.

Abdulaziz Sheikh, CEO UCC Saudi Arabia said: "We believe that the combination of Infor's robust, flexible ERP and strategic solutions together with our local market presence, knowledge and understanding will lead to a successful long-term partnership between MIC and Infor.

"There is a significant opportunity to leverage upon the existing Baan customer base, particularly in KSA which has been established over many years. We also believe that the mid-size and large manufacturing communities are becoming more aware of the benefits of acquiring and integrating Infor solutions.

"Infor is soon to unveil a new channel partner network program and is launching more new products in the next year than ever before in its history - so there's never been a better time to be an Infor partner than now," Sheikh added.
