The Dubai Mall is hosting a consumer electronics promotion for the month of May.

All electronics retailers in The Dubai Mall will take part in a month-long consumer electronics promotion being held by the shopping destination.

Shoppers can expect a host of prizes as well as deals on consumer electronics.

Consumers who spend $55, at any of the electronics retailers in the Mall, will be given a raffle coupon from Guest Services to enter the prize draws.

Weekly prize draws will be held on 18th, 15th and 22nd May and prizes include an LED 38-inch TV, a Blu Ray Player and a home theatre system.

The grand prize for a $13,613 gift voucher from Panasonic will be drawn on 1st June.

The Dubai Mall will also run online competitions for its Twitter followers and Facebook fans.

The social media competitions will require fans to identify and write about a product tagged by Panasonic on its social media sites.

Weekly winners will receive a $1,361 gift voucher from Panasonic.

"The Dubai Mall has established its credentials as the most popular shopping and entertainment destination having hosted over 13.5 million visitors in the first quarter of this year, and over 47 million visitors in 2010. The mall has a strong portfolio of electronic retailers, and this dedicated promotion on electronics items will further add value to the customer experience of our mall visitors. As a leader in social media in the region amongst malls, we are also leveraging our presence by offering our Twitter followers and Facebook fans a unique opportunity to be part of the promotion," said Nasser Rafi, chief executive officer at Emaar Malls Group.
