"The company's network has been linked to the network of the Iraqi telecommunication corporation through the optical fibre cable that ends in Baghdad, Dr. Abdulmalek Al-Jaber, CEO of Zain Jordan, was quoted in the report. He said that the hook-up of Zain Jordan's network to Iraq has enabled the company to enter the Iraqi market offering high speed internet services and broadband solutions that meet the needs of its customers in Iraq.

Al Jaber also said that the move coincided with Zain Jordan's launch of the cable linking Amman to the Red Sea port city of Al Aqaba.
