Mahindra Satyam to deploy Oracle ERP for Qatar University
Mahindra Satyam has been signed to deploy Oracle E-Business Suite R12 for Qatar University.
The implementation, which is intended to take nine months to deliver, will help the university improve processes and provide it with a complete management information system.
The university, the largest academic institution in Qatar, selected Mahindra Satyam for its experience in Oracle ERP implementations. Qatar University faced challenges in integration and automating various business functions, and the Oracle deployment is intended to integrate different functions, and give visibility and management of processes, workflow and inventory.
"This project complements the country's move towards developing smart cities and reinforcing the education sector's vital role in the development of the same. The implementation of Oracle's comprehensive product suite will help us strengthen financial management and control, supply chain management, customer service and HR functionalities," said Saeed Rashid Al-Athba, IT Director, Qatar University.
