The new programmes will give more structure to Fortinet's channel and reward the best partners, says Roman.

Fortinet has introduced a new range of technology specializations for channel partners in its international region.

The new technology specializations, which are open to its Gold and Silver partner levels, are intended to give partners the enhanced skills to deliver Fortinet's FortiMail, FortiWeb, and FortiDB end-to-end security solutions.

The four new Technology Specialization programs are FortiMail and FortiWeb Specialists, which cover the specific product families, and will qualify partners for the highest levels of discount from the FortiPartner programme, access to marketing activities, co-branding and priority access to lead generation programmes; Fortinet Technology Expert, for companies that have already achieved the FortMail and FortiWeb specializations, which entitles them to the best discounts and to be referenced by Fortinet as ‘Best Partner'; and the FortiDB Partnership, which is designed for managed security service providers (MSSPs), consulting organisations or system integrators offering database security or audit services to third-party customers.

The company will hold a launch campaign for the new specialisations, until June 2011, to recruit and qualify partners. Fortinet will assist partners in sales, technical and marketing, to help them reach new customers and deliver solutions.
