Teradata completes integration of Aprimo
Data management company has integrated all of applications business model with Aprimo
Teradata's new partnership with Aprimo, which became official earlier this month, leverages the marketing management solutions of Aprimo and provides a foundation for Teradata applications.
"Aprimo have a set of solutions that help automate marketing operations as well as the multi-challenge management side of companies and they are a market leader in the marketing resource management side for the last eight years, they are also market leader in what they call innovative marketing management as defined by Gartner and Forrester so we really look forward to working with this company," said Scott Gnau, cheif development officer at Teledata.
Teradata has taken its solutions and merged them with those of Aprimo, making Aprimo the basis for its application business model. All of the Teradata applications have now been moved into the Aprimo organisation.
"As you can imagine, our marketing applications, we integrated them into the Aprimo marketing suite, then our other applications will also be driven from an R&D perspective and from a sales support perspective in supporting regions all round the world going forward," said Gnau.
Teradata will also use Aprimo to try to bring the best to the table around cloud service capabilities and applications.
"[Aprimo] also offer hosted or on-demand on premise applications, so as we go to market, we will continue to look at other applications we can put into cloud, we are also continuing to look at keeping the applications open so that they can run on other platforms which is important to our customers, but also make sure we take advantage of the Teradata and the Asterdata footprints and leveraging their importance in the analytics and data space," said Gnau.
Aprimo currently have approximately 250 customers which will now join the 250 that belong to Teradata, doubling the customer base to approximately 500 clients.
