Sony Gulf has announced the launch of a new range of VAIO notebooks. The three new models include Sony's first F Series 3D notebook. The VAIO F Series Full HD 3D display is based on the frame sequential method with 3D Active Shutter glasses allowing it to deliver bright and crisp picture quality. A built-in 3D transmitter allows for these visuals, and the laptop comes bundled with a pair of 3D Active Shutter glasses.

A 3D button on the notebook allows users to convert 2D content - videos and games - into a 3D experience. The notebook is equipped with a powerful Quad Core second generation Intel® Core i7 processor and NVIDIA® GeForce graphics with DX11, which meets 2D and 3D multimedia entertainment needs.

The VAIO F Series has a 16.0-inch Full HD LED Backlit LCD display, realistic surround sound with S-Force Front Surround 3D and inbox bass-reflex speakers.

If you need something for business, Sony has launched the ultra-mobile 13.3-inch VAIO S series, in a slim and stylish design weight just 1.72kg. This makes the VAIO S travel-friendly and features a smart battery concept that provides up to 12 hours of battery life on one charge (with extended battery).

The VAIO S Series features a ‘full flat' design, enhancing its portability and robustness. Intuitive new technology enables power to be drawn from the external battery first, and once drained the VAIO reverts to the internal battery. Notebook users can also conveniently detach and charge the external battery independently, without having to first shut down their notebook.

Key VAIO S Series features include up to six hour battery life and up to 12 hours with extended battery (optional accessory); a dynamic hybrid graphic system for balanced stamina and performance; and a 13.3-inch VAIO LED backlit LCD display for bright colour, optimum contrast and clarity.

The VAIO S Series features a new FastBoot technology which enables quick Boot and fast operation. With this quick Boot feature, the computer reportedly starts up in 17 seconds from shut down. Second generation Intel® Core i5 or i7 processors  along with a choice of HDD or SSD storage provide computing power and data reliability to the VAIO S Series.

The final notebook that Sony has launched is the VAIO C Series. This is targeted towards fashion trendsetters and a younger audience. The C Series is available in a range of colours with a stylish new 15.5-inch and 14.0-inch screen.

The VAIO C Series features 'light emitting' material that absorbs ambient ultra-violet light through its flat surfaces and creates a dramatic, glow effect along the edges of the translucent PC lid and other surfaces. For users looking to go all out, there is a colourful array of Bluetooth wireless mice and keyboard skins available to mix and match with the VAIO C Series notebooks.

The notebook has a built-in HD web camera powered by ‘Exmor' technology, a backlit keyboard and ambient light sensor. It also offers Fast Boot like the S series and an AMD Radeon 1GB Hybrid Graphics card for gaming performance and high picture quality. The processor offered is a second generation Intel Core i5 chip, with 320GB HDD and 4GB RAM.
