BitDefender launches new partner programme
New programme to build channel presence for security software vendor
Security software vendor BitDefender has developed a new channel partner programme to help build its channel presence.
The BitDefender Partner Advantage Network builds on a revamp of the company's channel operations that was completed at the end of last year, and aims to bring more resource and better commissions to the channel.
The company currently has resellers in over 100 countries worldwide, and is looking to expand its network.
The new programme will have four levels of partner - Registered, Select, Plus and Premier, with varying levels of support available to each. The channel will have access to various resources from BitDefender, including sales enablement and marketing tools, technical support and training, not-for-resell (NFR) licenses, partner visibility on BitDefender.com and use of the Partner Advantage Network brand logo for marketing purposes.
Partners will also have access to the online partner portal, PartnerLink.
"Given the increasingly important role IT security plays in business today - and the reputation BitDefender has established as provider of one the industry's fastest and most effective lines of internationally certified security software - we know there is a tremendous revenue growth opportunity for our channel partners in 2011," said Dianne Pilon, director Global Channel Marketing. "With the launch of a more comprehensive channel program - one with more technical and marketing support, greater financial incentives and better terms for our partners - BitDefender is addressing this opportunity with an unprecedented commitment to the reseller community."
"BitDefender believes that its partners are critical to its success, and with the launch of this new channel program, we're demonstrating our commitment to and confidence in this community or resellers," said Charles Arizmendi, chief operating officer.
