Chef Middle East implements Microsoft Dynamics AX
New software has improved organisational efficiency
Leading UAE foods importer, Chef Middle East, has implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX, the comprehensive ERP solution for medium and large organisations.
Chef Middle East has said that it is experiencing improvements in organisational efficiency and is gaining increased visibility in key business processes since the software implementation.
"Considering we have a transaction-intensive supply chain process, we were limited by our previous ERP solution that resulted in a lack of insights into key processes. Having Microsoft Dynamics AX in place has been a critical factor in satisfying our complex business requirements, leading to improved automation and greater visibility into vital data , thereby leading to improved business efficiency," said Mike Lewis, regional general manager, Chef Middle East.
The use of Microsoft Dynamics AX has helped Chef Middle East to automate its whole supply chain process, increasing shipments from around the world.
Chef Middle East has also put in new processes for purchase planning and expiry tracking and the traceability of lots has enabled the company to better trace its goods and manage and move inventory.
According to Microsoft, the software has allowed Chef Middle East's month-end financial closing to become easier and it now happens on a specific date each month.
"Businesses today need access to a comprehensive ERP solution that can seamlessly integrate business processes with technology to gather, manage and use vital information to deliver greater productivity and enhance competitive advantage. In such a scenario, Microsoft Dynamics AX is the ideal ERP solution that can help customers such as Chef Middle East strategically leverage their IT investments and enables them to thrive in a constantly dynamic business environment," said Tamer Elhamy, Dynamics lead from Microsoft Gulf.
Microsoft Dynamics AX was fully implemented in three months by Microsoft partner LevTech Consulting. The quick implementation of the solution gave Chef Middle East the capability of serving 550 more customers at one Dubai branch in one day.
"The ease-of-use, functional fit and close integration with other Microsoft technology, combined with strong project management from Levtech Consulting, helped ensure a smooth implementation with minimal project issues," said Satheesh Nair, IT manager, Chef Middle East.
