BenQ launches high definition digital camera
S1420 will be available at AED599 across the Middle East from April
BenQ, has launched a powerful high definition digital camera, the S1420 series in the Middle East.
The camera comes with Optical Image Stabiliser capability, designed to prevent blurring and compensate for camera shake or slow shutter speeds.
The S1420 is a 14 megapixels high resolution camera featuring a 26mm wide-angle lens, 5x optical zoom and a 3.0-inch display.
BenQ's new camera also has 720p HD movie-recording capabilities and BenQ's upgraded HDR II image enhancement technology, which is designed to capture images of high-contrast scenes that are usually difficult to photograph well.
"BenQ's expansion of its S-series digital camera line-up with the 14 Megapixels S1420 digital camera highlights our drive to continually enhance our products to adapt to today's young upwardly mobile customers who are always on the go. The new S1420 is complete with power-packed features which are designed for users to easily upload vibrant, clear images on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites," said Manish Bakshi, general manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa.
BenQ's S1420 has an array of artistic functions, including the LOMO effect, which enables users to add darkened-corners, off-kilter exposure and over-saturated colours to their photograph.
The Fisheye lens effect provides a wide-angle hemispherical view of the photographic subject and the Color Accent effect enables users to choose a specific colour to highlight in the image turning the rest of the picture to black and white.
S1420's highly sensitive sensor can take realistic-looking, detailed photographs in a low light scene. An ISO 6400 exposure index ensures that photographs in areas with low-lighting are not compromised.
BenQ's S1420 is priced at AED 599 and will be available at major retail outlets across the Middle East in April 2011.
