EMS's certified repair centre will help improve standards of support and turnaround time for repairs.

Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) has opened a new certified repair centre for BlackBerry mobile devices to service the MEA region.

The Dubai facility will provide a full range of repair services, for BlackBerry smartphones, through a team of service technicians.

"EMS and RIM have enjoyed a long and successful regional partnership for the distribution of BlackBerry smartphones, so we are very excited to launch this unique, exclusive and purpose-built repair facility, which has been designed to international specifications and adopts best international practices. This further enhances our commitment to 71 carriers, and over 65 retail partners in 47 countries in the region" said Babar Khan, CEO, EMS.

EMS will continue to offer its existing BlackBerry warranty program for users in the region, but the company expects turnaround time for repairs to decrease significantly. The repair centre will also service EMS's carrier and retail partners to improve customer service.
