Gartner CIO Forum kicks off
Executive-only programme, will focus on business, technology, leadership strategies
The Gartner CIO Leadership Forum, being held from February 28th to March 1st, at the Raffles hotel in Dubai, is an executive-only programme designed to help IT leaders and CIOs deliver business value through IT.
The Forum will explore critical business, technology and leadership strategies through in-depth sessions, presentations and workshops.
CIOs from across the region will participate in the Forum and work with Gartner thought leaders to define what world class means to their organisations.
Gartner analysts will advise and educate attendees on how to anticipate changes in the global economic climate, identify and act on enterprise's growth opportunities and deliver on expanding commitments with declining resources.
The analysts will share breakthrough approaches to delivering business value through IT as well as strategic implications of fast-evolving technologies and industry trends
There will be keynote sessions by Abdullah Alkhedher, e-TP director, Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Saudi Arabia, Marwan Bin Haider, vice president and CIO, IT Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and Patrick Naef, divisional senior vice president IT, Emirates Group.
Other speakers will include Salem Khamis Al-Shair, director general of the General Information Authority (GIA), Adrian Hayes, double world record breaking adventurer,
Dr Mohammed Aloqeely, assistant president for Planning and Information Technology, Saudi Food and Drug Authority (Saudi-FDA) and Dr Salim Al-Ruzaiqi, Information Technology Authority.
The Forum will also feature two thought leadership presentations, one from SAP on managing an end-to-end, complex SAP implementation within a short-time frame to derive maximum ROI and ensure low TCO and the second from Orange Business Services.
Orange will explore a case study on the successful engagement of Orbit Showtime Network with Orange Business Services to achieve business improvements and benefits for their IT infrastructure.
