Etisalat is offering customers a chance to double their data packages for no extra cost.

Etisalat has launched a new data volume promotion called Double Mobile Data Volume. The promotion offers both new and existing data package customers double the data at no extra cost, for two months from their date of subscription.

Existing 1GB, 5GB and 10GB data customers will automatically be entered into the promotion, while new customers can call 125 or join up at an Etisalat Business Centre to subscribe to Etisalat's mobile broadband and get double the data.

Customers will be able to access Etisalat's upgraded and faster HSPA+ network which now operates at speeds of up to 42Mbps, designed to allow users to check emails, surf the Internet, watch high definition (HD) video streaming and much more at cheaper rates.

"Our customers' affinity with mobile internet for work and entertainment, as well as their interest in social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter is growing day by day. As a pioneer in innovative telecom solutions, Etisalat is continuously investing in the most advanced technologies to develop mobile broadband services that allow our customers to seamlessly enjoy the region's fastest speeds on the widest network in the country. Through this promotion, we're further meeting their thirst for data by giving them more freedom to use higher data volumes at no extra cost and by making technology-compatible USB devices even more affordable," said Motaz Hashem, senior vice president, Marketing, Etisalat.

Etisalat has also announced new rates with up to 66% discount on a wide range of 3G/3.5G devices, available from Etisalat including USB dongles and enabled laptops, or routers.
