The Prestigio Series 7 MultiPad features the Prestigio 'launcher concept' desktop solution, which divides the touchscreen into four areas featuring different applications. The series 7 tablets come in both 7-inch and 10-inch models.

IT and CE product vendor, Prestigio, has revealed the new Prestigio MultiPad tablet PC series based on Android.

The collection of tablet PCs consists of the Prestigio MultiPad 3 series, 5 series and 7 series.

"Prestigio MultiPads represent an exciting extension of our very successful portfolio of mobile devices such as GeoVision GPS and Prestigio eBook Readers with which we already claim leading positions in many countries. Adding our mobile storage solutions with the typical Prestigio look and feel, now our brand offers a complete range of highly attractive and competitive products for modern mobile people who fancy a sophisticated lifestyle,." said Yuri Antoshkin, COO of Prestigio.

All three tablet devices feature WiFi, a four-way G-sensor and a Prestigio-style display design, they also come with Office Suite Pro preinstalled, compatible to Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010.

The MultiPad 7 series features the 'launcher concept' by Prestigio. This desktop solution divides the screen into four parts. On the top half of the screen, there are various icons grouped into categories such as life, business and entertainment. When a user clicks on one of these icons, a window will open below featuring links to all applications grouped under that defined icon. For example in the entertainment icon you would find a games link which would take a user to all games stored on the device.

Below these icons is a Prestigio widget with weather feeds, a RSS news feed and a clock. In the top left and right corners are direct links to a Prestigio MultiPad guide and to Appslib, the marketplace for Android tablet applications.

The 7 Series comes in both 7-inch and 10.1-inch models and feature a high-resolution multitouch touch screen, WIFI, Bluetooth and Mobile 3D gaming. Both models measure 12mm thick, and weigh 300g for the 7-inch model and 480g for the 10.1-inch.

The Prestigio MultiPad 5 series is the mid-range offering and also has two models, the 7-inch and the 10.1-inch. This series features HD video playback and a USB2.0 host.

The MultiPad 3 series is the entry level offering for the series. The device has an 8.4-inch high resolution display in a 4:3 format, this model also has internet browsing via WIFI.
