The Continuing Education Program is intended to allow partners to have a flexible way to continue to build skills.

Juniper Networks has added a new partner program to its Juniper Learning Academy, to help partners to build expertise in core areas including cloud networking, security, switching, routing and mobility.

The Continuing Education Program has been designed to deliver free, flexible training to Juniper partners, through a variety of on-demand, online formats, with courses that can be selected according to business model and technology interests, for sales and systems engineers.

The training follows two broad tracks, sales and technical, and allows partners to build towards specialised accreditations in certain areas of expertise. At present accreditations are available for data centre and switching, and the company plans to add additional accreditations for security and mobility at its annual EMEA partner conference in May.

Partners can choose from a variety of course curricula focused on specific products, solutions and skill sets, as well as industry fundamentals, services and support. Each course has a certain value in credits, awarded once the partner passes the related exam, and partners can accrue a specified amount of credits in a particular category to attain three designations - Generalist, Advisor and Master - in sales or technical tracks. Credits can be tracked online through the Learning Centre, and also go towards certificates and non-monetary rewards.

Juniper also recently improve the online Partner Centre to make it easier to use, and added specialised pages around key topics such as customer acquisition and retention, as well as revenue and profit opportunities, for Select, Elite and Service Provider Infrastructure partners.
