GamesFest to hit UAE
Visitors will get to play PC and console games that have not yet been released
Gamers in the UAE are gearing up for the GamesFest, organised by Middle East Gamers.
GamesFest brings together gamers from across the UAE to compete in tournaments and see that latest products from the gaming industry.
Gamers will also get the opportunity to try out Sony PlayStation games such as Little Big Planet 2, Gran Turismo 5, Start the Party and Singstar and will also get to playgames that have not yet hit the market.
Visitors will also be able to try out brand new gaming gear and will also be able to participate in competitions on both PC and games consoles.
These competitions include a Call of Duty: Black Ops tournament and a StarCraft II tournament. There will be hourly prize give-away competitions and a Twitter competition.
The organizers behind the Middle East Film and Comic Con event have also organized costumed characters, based on various games, to handout giveaways.
Presented by Sony PlayStation, GamesFest will be held at The Living Rooms Cafe at Dubai Festival City on 28th January 2011.
The event will run from 12pm to 10pm and entrance to the event is free, although organisers warn that space is limited and priority will be given to those who register on the event website.
