The EMKE Group, which runs Lulu's stores across the Middle East, is implementing Fujitsu's point of sale solutions in 86 of their shops.

EMKE Group has selected Fujitsu's solutions to enhance and develop its point of sale systems and applications.

The Group, which runs Lulu's chain of hypermarkets, supermarkets and department stores, will implement the TeamPoS 3000 XL2  system across 86 of its stores in the Middle East.

"Fujitsu has been EMKE Group's technology partner for more than 15 years, and during this time has consistently provided us with reliable and cost effective solutions to run our business," said Madhav Rao, Group CIO, EMKE Group. "The Team POS systems meet the demands of our store operations - from a standalone point of sale as well as mission critical applications such as customer relationship management. The solution has been tailor-made to provide us with the optimum price and performance fit, along with enhanced security, energy efficiency, and management."

The TeamPoS 3000 Series system's applications are installed using OPOS drivers centrally connected through SAP applications. The system is designed to have processing speeds 300% faster than earlier models and is designed to be 40% more energy efficient.

"Fujitsu's TeamPoS 3000 Series features state-of-the-art Intel Core 2 Duo processor-based technology and a host of other features to help EMKE Group lower total cost of ownership," said Chandan Mehta, product marketing manager - Middle East, Fujitsu Technology Solutions. "The open architecture platform is compatible with new and existing systems with industry standard operating technology to help maximise scalability and flexibility. The system is designed and built to endure the harshest of retail environments, thereby reducing maintenance costs."

The TeamPoS 3000 XL2 runs off a dual-core Intel Core2 Duo processor which is designed to run quieter, faster and cooler than rival technologies.
