IT Philanthropists to give away millions
These IT gurus have taken a pledge to give away half of their fortune to charity
Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz, co-founders of Facebook, are the latest billionaires to have pledged to give away half of their fortunes to charity.
The aim of The Giving Pledge, created by Bill and Melinda Gates, is to get US billionaires to give away at least half their wealth during their lifetime or after their death, and to publicly state their intention with a letter explaining their decision.
The charity drive does not accept money or tell people how or where to donate their money, but asks the wealthy to make a moral commitment to charity, according to The Giving Pledge website.
