DemoCamp 2010 hits Internet City
This year six innovators will be showcasing their creations to industry
Dubai Internet City is getting ready to host the sixth edition of DemoCamp Dubai this week.
DemoCamp encourages tech entrepreneurs, students, professionals and engineers to showcase their technological business innovations to a judging panel made up of industry experts.
"Technology is no longer limited to being used in large enterprises or in a sophisticated environment. Young innovators and entrepreneurs are constantly experimenting to make technology simple, easy to use and with a strong business case. This change has invited investors from global markets to invest in the Middle East. The venture capitalists that help turn dreams into reality in their quest for talent also contribute to expanding the business potential beyond local markets," said Majed Al Suwaidi, director - Business Development, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone.
The informal style conference, which will be held on November 24 at Dubai Internet City, will also give innovators a chance to gain feedback from an audience made up of like-minded business people.
"More entrepreneurs have realised the rationale behind participating in events such as the DemoCamp. It becomes a common platform to meet professionals, get inspired and educated. As investors get a preview of the early stages of the project, they are able to provide an insight and feedback, helping the young entrepreneur in the long run," added Al Suwaidi.
There will be six demonstrations between 6.30 pm and 9pm this DemoCamp and Demonstrations must show working software, hardware, network services and other features.
