Dubai office to become new regional hub for Satyam
Mahindra Satyam is expanding its presence in the Middle East and is making its Dubai office the company's new strategic regional hub.
The office will oversee the integration of its Middle East and African operations, as Mahindra Satyam plans to target more projects and growth opportunities in the two region's booming IT and business segments.
The consulting and services company is currently taking steps to expand into new markets and develop more business partnerships within the two regions.
"We already have 12 offices in the Middle East and Africa region. Establishing our Dubai office as our new strategic regional hub is just one of the many planned moves that Mahindra Satyam is implementing to reinforce our presence in these two regions... Rest assured that Mahindra Satyam will play a big role in the growth of the Middle East and Africa's IT segment," said Manojeet Chowdhury, Vice President and Head of Middle East and Africa Region, Mahindra Satyam.
Manojeet Chowdhury who was managing the MENA region, will now drive synergies across Middle East and Africa. Bobby Gupta has been appointed as business head for the Gulf, Levant and North Africa Region; while Chittaranjan Jena was appointed as business head for Southern Africa, based out of Johannesburg.
"These leadership changes are aimed at leveraging experiences to facilitate increased synergy and bring global offerings to customers in Middle East and Africa," said Dilip Jha, senior vice president, Business Head - Middle East, Africa & India, Mahindra Satyam.
Mahindra Satyam is looking to gain a stronger presence in Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Integrated Engineering Services for industries such as aviation, oil and gas, and for specialised sectors like IT for sport events in both regions.
The company was the sole supplier for the IT systems of the FIFA World Cup and is looking for more sport-related business in the Middle East.
